The lid serves as a precise closure for the milk tank of coffee machines. It ensures a secure and tight seal to preserve the freshness of the milk and prevent leakage.
Challenge
A key requirement is the integration of a silicone seal in the edge area. The lid must be designed in such a way that the seal is reliably fixed in place by a recessed edge without the need for additional mounting elements. This requires the highest precision and clean workmanship.
Solution
The lid is manufactured in several steps: First, a blank is cut to size. Then the edge is pressed into a 90° cylinder, drawn in and finally cut off and deburred. This process ensures a precise fit and high-quality finish that holds the silicone seal securely in place and guarantees long-lasting functionality.
