Drip pan (020)
This tray serves as a drip tray at the bottom of an umbrella stand and reliably catches rainwater dripping from wet umbrellas. It combines functionality with aesthetic design and ensures cleanliness and tidiness in entrance areas.
Challenge
The manufacture of a drip tray with two precisely positioned holes in the base requires the utmost precision to ensure controlled water drainage without compromising the stability or aesthetics of the component. The chrome steel must also be processed in such a way that the surface remains smooth, scratch-free and corrosion-resistant.
Solution
The drip tray is made of high-quality chrome steel, which is first deep-drawn to create the perfect tray shape. The two holes in the bottom are then precisely punched, followed by careful trimming to achieve exact contours. Finally, the tray is deburred to ensure a smooth, safe and aesthetically pleasing surface.
