End candle filter (005)
The candle filter is used in filtration systems that process acids and alkalis. At the end of a pipe system, it ensures the precise diversion of the processed liquids, thereby guaranteeing efficient and safe filtration.
Challenge
This component has an undercut and a special edge geometry that cannot be produced in a single step.
Solution
The basic shape of the candle filter is produced using classic deep drawing. The undercut is formed by beading and rolling to enable demoulding. The edge is carefully deburred and trimmed, while the material in the base is shaped by a neck pull. This multi-stage process guarantees a precise and unusual component.
