This work demonstrates the impressive diversity and precision of metal spinning. Created as an apprentice piece by a budding metal spinner, this high-quality item was presented as an exclusive Christmas gift to corporate clients to showcase the craftsmanship and attention to detail of our team.
Challenge
Metal spinning requires the utmost precision and skill in order to create complex shapes without material defects. Particularly challenging is the combination of several work steps, which must ensure a perfect surface and structure in order to create an aesthetically appealing and functional end product.
Solution
The production took place in a precise, multi-stage process: First, the material was carefully pressed to create the basic shape. It was then pressed back and cut off to achieve the desired contour. Afterwards, the edge was rolled and flanged to ensure stability and aesthetics. Finally, the outer surface was crimped to refine the finish and optimise the structure. This complex process reflects the fine art of metal spinning.
