Fondue Rechaud (019)
This réchaud is the ideal companion for outdoor activities such as camping, hiking or trekking. It is lightweight, compact and robust – perfect for on the go.
On 21 July 2008, this burner was part of a historic moment: it was used in the world record for the longest fondue table in the world at the Brienzer Rothorn, where 1,600 people gathered at a 575-metre-long table to celebrate this unique record.
Challenge
The production of a compact and functional réchaud requires maximum precision when cutting and punching the material. The challenge lies in forming intricate details such as the Swiss crosses and tabs precisely without weakening the material.
Solution
The chafing dish is made from high-quality sheet metal, which is first deep-drawn to create the basic shape. The blank is then precisely trimmed to height to achieve the perfect size. Next, the iconic Swiss crosses and functional tabs are stamped out, giving the chafing dish its unique design and functionality. Finally, the component is embossed to ensure an attractive surface and additional stability.
